AEF at trade shows in first quarter 2017

This year started with a number of Ag shows in the US and in France, where the AEF showed its flag. Whereas the presence at the two NA events were carried out in cooperation with AgConnect (National Farm Machinery Show in Louisville, KY.) and the AEM (Commodity Classic Trade Show), at the Sima show in Paris the AEF shared a big booth with French partners Axema, Kereval, Aprodema, Exposima and Buiness France. AEF Secretary Mark Benishek called the support at the booths at the NA shows „excellent“, thanks to Ryan Milligan, Benjamin Jefferson and Norbert Schlingmann. At both shows Ryan and Mark were in contact with a number of potential new industry members.

National Farm Machinery Show: From February 15th to 18th the AEF was present for the first time at the 52nd National Farm Machinery Show in Louisville, KY. Before the NFMS, there was another event, the ASABE–AETC meetings in Louisville from 13th to 15th February. On 13th February Ryan Milligan provided an AEF presentation followed by a live database demo by Benjamin Jefferson, both of which were very well received.

For 52 years, the National Farm Machinery Show has been showing the most complete selection of cutting-edge agricultural products, equipment and services available in the farming industry.

At SIMA, the Paris International Agribusiness Show (February 26th to March 2nd), the AEF shared a large and very open, brightly coloured area with the French partners. Yannick Guyomarch from Kereval was present the whole time on the stand. He was joined at different times by some C&M members as well as members from other project teams. There was a “live” conformance test session with Agrotronix/Berthoud testing a new Software version with Kereval. The tradition of the ‘AEF Happy Hour’ sponsored by Sontheim was continued in Paris on the Wednesday evening.

On the day before the show opening a newly introduced conference in collaboration with SIMA, Axema and EurAgEng– Intensive and environmentally friendly agriculture: an opportunity for innovation in machinery and systems – was held in Paris. Andrew Olliver, team leader of the project team ‘Communication and Marketing’ spoke on behalf of the AEF.

Sima in Paris is the second biggest agricultural show in Europe (after Agritechnica).

Commodity Classic:
Also for the first time the AEF flew its flag at the Commodity Classic Trade Show, March 2nd to 4th, 2017 in San Antonio, Texas. The AEF shared booth #213 with member organization AEM. Mark Benishek, AEF’s secretary, and general manager Norbert Schlingmann, were there to answer questions of many interested visitors. Established in 1996, Commodity Classic is a farmer-led and farmer-focused annual convention and trade show. Education is a hallmark of Commodity Classic covering every single aspect growers are interested in.
