The international industry organization, AEF, was founded during an October 2008 meeting in Frankfurt, Germany, by the seven internationally operating ag industry companies Agco, Claas, CNH, Grimme, John Deere, Kverneland Group and Pöttinger. Also founding members are the industry associations AEM (Association of Equipment Manufacturers) and VDMA (German Engineering Federation). will sponsor an ISOBUSISOBUS
Ag equipment manufacturers around the world have agreed on ISOBUS as the universal protocol for electronic communication between implements, tractors and computers. (ISO 11783) plugfest in October.  The event will be held the dates of October 5 and 6 and most likely will take place in Gross-Umstadt, Germany, although this has not been finalized.
