New Twisted Pair Connection for ISOBUS
The AEF Engineering & Implementation team has been investigating the use of Twisted Pair Physical Layer (TPPL) for use on ISOBUS systems.
After a long investigation and test period, the team has reworked the specification for the physical CAN interface of the ISOBUS and this is now included in the latest version of ISO11783 Part 2 (third edition). This will give manufacturers the option to achieve a lower cost impact and allow some additional flexibility in their ISOBUS network design. The changes incorporated in this latest version of the standard, will be completely backward compatible and will also be tested by the AEF ISOBUS conformance test.
