Review: AEF Service Council in Warendorf
On 19th of December 2018 the first AEF Service Council took place in Warendorf. The event – aimed at service staff and product management of distributors and manufacturers – focused on the AEF ISOBUS Database, the AEF Diagnostics Tool and the AEF Ticket System.
How can the practical implementation of the AEF Ticket System in the field of agricultural engineering be further promoted? How can it be further improved from a technical and organizational perspective in order to provide ever better support to end customers? How can the diagnostic options of the AEF ISOBUS Database be used to obtain further details on machines and the ISOBUS compatibility?
Jan-Hendrik Wölker, AEF database administrator, was able to welcome a total of 17 participants from different companies to discuss these questions. Right at the beginning of the event experts placed the AEF ISOBUS Database in the center of their considerations. How can more information be provided on the functions of the database to give different users a better understanding of the subject? To answer this question, participants adopted the viewpoints of different database users. This way, they were able to clearly define the specific requirements of farmers, dealers and manufacturers.
Subsequently, examples were put into practice. Thus, the AEF Diagnostics Tool was tested on an ISOBUS combination (CLAAS AXION, CLAAS Cropsensor, Kverneland fertilizer spreader). The AEF Ticket System was also used on the basis of diagnostics information gathered at the machine. Participants discussed the resulting detailed questions at great length and collected expectations and improvement proposals.
A positive conclusion was drawn by the participants during the final feedback round. They praised the interesting exchange and expressed their wish to continue this kind of activity.
The AEF thanked the participants for their constructive contributions! Due to the positive feedback, the AEF plans to hold another service council in June or July 2019.
