Further development of the AEF ISOBUS database

Manufacturer will have the possibility to perform a Conformance Test re-test by themselves by following the defined AEF Rules to ensure the highest possible degree of reliability for customers.
A re-test is possible for manufacturer if the hardware was already tested and the previous software certification of the product was carried out at least two years ago by one of the five independent AEF test laboratories. The principal rule which have to be followed is that the ISO11783 part and the function range of the software remain unaffected. The test laboratories are still responsible for the final review and approval of the re-tests.

New project team: Medium Voltage

On 26 September 2018, experts from several AEF member companies met to launch the new Medium Voltage (PT12) project team. After defining the project charter first, the responsibilities were agreed Team leader is Alexander Schultz-Storz and deputy is Tadeja Kajtazi. PT12 was initiated at the request of the Technical Committee for Electronics, TA-E, of the German Engineering Federation (VDMA).

Mark von Bibra: new project manager at the AEF

Since 24 June 2019, Mark von Bibra has joined AEF as project manager. The Australian studied in Melbourne and Singapore and worked for the last six years as Senior Development Engineer for the Stuttgart company ITK Engineering.

Thanks to Harald Dietel

Since the launch meeting in Frankfurt am Main on 16 March 2011, Harald Dietel has significantly supported the project team High Voltage (PT7) as team leader. After eight years, he has now given up this task.

Thanks to Martijn Holten

Martijn Holten left Kverneland Mechatronics and in addition the position as deputy for AEF PT4 Service & Diagnostics in June. Since the beginning he was member of the Service & Diagnostics project team and supported the database development. He started the deputy position in 2017 and was the main driver in developing the RMI guildeline which is nearly released.

AEF activity at the ASABE Annual International Meeting

AEF Sponsored and exhibited at the 2019 Annual International Meetings of the ASABE in Boston, Massachusetts, USA on July 7 – 10, 2019. The focus of the ASABE event is a mix of academic papers, robotics competition, professional research presentations and 4 days of committee meetings.

VDI workshop on ISOBUS and TIM

Under the title „ISOBUS Automation using TIM“ an international VDI workshop took place in the Berlin Mercure Hotel MOA on 28 June 2019. The AEF was represented by Jan-Hendrik Wölker, AEF Database Administrator, who held a speech there.
