AEF starts AgIN as Data Space Initiative
What is "AgIN"? The Agricultural Interoperabilty Network [AgIN] is a dataspace that provides a framework to foster collaboration between agricultural industry members, partners and related initiatives.
AgIN will enable peer-to-peer cloud connections, creating a milestone for an industry-wide data-sharing solution for those agreed to interoperability. AgIN is a network and not a new platform. AEF members may join the AgIN network with their existing cloud platforms and access each other’s services, ensuring data flows securely through the entire network.
Each participant will continue to host its own platform and service and will gain access to connect with other AgIN participants. AgIN joins the European dataspace initiatives [DSI] to collaborate with other DSIs.
The benefits:
- Existing Ag industry cloud platforms will exchange data based on use-cases to improve interoperability.
- The farmer can use his preferred digital solution to get access to the use-cases.
- Information which are supporting agricultural operations can be easily exchanged by all users such as farmers, agronomists, service providers and further partners.
The importance of "AgIN"
AgIN is a significant initiative for the whole Ag industry. This is highlighted by the commitments of numerous AEF member companies. Many strong statements emphasize their engagement in AgIN.

The AEF has taken an excellent approach with AgIN to enable this interoperability comprehensively and worldwide. CLAAS supports this.
CNHi
Farmers of the world don't farm alone. They rely on partners. CNH Industrial continues to help customers maximize the value of the abundant agronomic and machine data our equipment creates by sharing it with the many partners they work with. We applaud the efforts of AgIN to bring interoperability to farmers and partners around the globe.
dev4Agriculture
Interoperability is the key to success in agricultural digitalization and automation. dev4Agriculture supports the AgIN initiative and will support all interested partners in the implementation of the interface.
Dinamica Generale
At Dinamica Generale, our unwavering goal is to revolutionize the agricultural landscape by seamlessly integrating innovative solutions of high-tech companies. By fostering collaboration and synergy among different technologies, we are dedicated to creating an ecosystem that simplifies and enhances the lives of farmers. Supporting ISOBUS and AEF, we aspire to provide farmers with a comprehensive toolkit that empowers them to increase efficiency and optimize resources.
DKE-Data
DKE-Data as the provider of agrirouter will integrate the future AgIN interface into its cross-manufacturer data exchange platform. Farmers and contractors will thus be offered further use-case-specific options for cross-product data exchange to optimize their individual agricultural value chains while taking sustainability into account.
Horsch
HORSCH develops technical and digital solutions for modern agriculture. We support any initiative that adds value for our customers, including fast and easy data exchange between network partners.
John Deere
In agriculture, farmers use a variety of different systems and equipment and seamless data exchange is critically important for our customers. John Deere supports the AgIN goal to drive interoperability in the agricultural sector, so that farmers can be more efficient and productive.
Krone
Together with agrirouter the AgIN project will bring huge benefit for smart farming and establish standards for interoperability.
Kubota / Kverneland
Kubota and Kverneland Group (as a subsidiary of Kubota) have always been frontrunners in the interoperability of Agricultural Equipment to other brands, supporting the ISOBUS community and the AEF as founding members. The AgIn project takes the interoperability of our machines to the next level of data exchange between the equipment and platforms, hence providing our customers an investment security towards the future, enabling seamless compatibility between all the different platforms.
Kuhn
Let's connect the solutions!
Beside the Agrirouter platform, KUHN supports the AgIN initiative. It is essential to connect new solutions and facilitate data exchange between tractors, terminals, farm management software and equipment’s.
nextFarming
We at NEXT Farming are participating in the AEF AgIN project for several compelling reasons. First and foremost, the project's focus on interoperability and compatibility aligns with our goal of ensuring seamless communication between agricultural machinery and devices. The AEF's industry standards enhance our product's compatibility and opening up new opportunities for integration into existing agricultural systems.
Furthermore, the potential for innovation and access to cutting-edge agricultural technologies through AgIN presents an exciting opportunity for us to stay at the forefront of the industry. Collaborating with AEF and other leading companies in the field not only strengthen our network but also boost our reputation as a forward-thinking and reliable provider in the agricultural technology domain. We believe that the long-term benefits of participating in AgIN would be instrumental in advancing our strategic objectives.
OSB connagtiv
It is evident that many data platforms, some from larger OEMs, others as community initiatives or from FMIS providers, have come and will come to market worldwide. Farmers should benefit from the increasing digitization and data exchange capabilities and be able to choose the systems that best meet their needs and provide the required level of data security, regardless of the limitations imposed by proprietary interfaces. Therefore, AEF standardization of data exchange between machine-related data platforms is critical.

VDMA
VDMA Agricultural Machinery represent the interests of more than 200 manufacturers of agricultural machinery, tractors, and related software systems from across Europe. Digitization is a topic that our members have been dealing with for decades, it has become a prerequisite both for sustainable agriculture and for achieving climate targets. In the future, it is not enough to merely connect machines, software systems and companies to the Internet or to network them with each other.
They must also be enabled to negotiate complete business processes with each other, e.g., the documentation of a sowing operation. As interoperability and data continuity along the food production chain is key to increase productivity without jeopardizing ecological goals, VDMA supports the AgIN initiative and goals.
