Fall Plugfest 2018

Review:
AEF Plugfest in Lincoln Nebraska

The AEF Plugfests take place every spring and fall, alternately in the U.S. and Europe. They provide the industry with the opportunity to test their own ISOBUS product developments in combination with those from other manufacturers using the test protocol defined in the ISO 11783 standards.
The North American Plugfest this year was held in Lincoln, Nebraska, on May 7-9, in cooperation with the Nebraska Tractor Test Lab (NTTL) one of the five AEF ISOBUS approved Test Laboratories. The event attracted 123 attendees from 32 companies. Their testing of 35 working sets at 31 stations added up to more than 850 different ISOBUS terminal/implement combinations.

AEF chairman Peter van der Vlugt commented: “The continued number of companies attending each year clearly shows the importance of ISOBUS to the Ag industry in improving compatibility between our products.” The next AEF Plugfest is scheduled for September 17-19, 2019 in Anitibes, France, and will be hosted by the Trade Association of the Agricultural Equipment Industry (AXEMA) in France.

Andrew Olliver, head of the AEF project team "Communication & Marketing", comments in an interview on the Plugfest in Lincoln.
