New AEF Member: ImageLine
Image Line is an Italian company – included in Italian official registry for innovative SMEs – that develops softwares, web portals and databases for agriculture since 1988.
QdC® - Quaderno di Campagna® is Image Line's farm management information systems for sustainable agriculture: is used by cooperatives, associations of farmers, agri-consultants or directly from growers. Today 12,000 farms in Italy are managed on the cloud thanks to QdC®. The web application is integrated with databases on agrochemicals, fertilizers and other inputs for agricultural production, in order to help users to plan and register farming operations in a correct way. The database for pesticides is called Fitogest.com; it was created in 1989, it's online since 2000 and is regularly updated. Now, Image Line's network is made up also by Fertilgest.com (for fertilizers and biostimulants), Plantgest.com (varietal innovation in fruits, vegetables, cereals) and AgroNotizie. This last one is both an online magazine with daily updates concerning crop protection, fertilizers, ag machinery… and a newsletter that is dedicated to Image Line's community (260,000+ users, most of all farmers, consultants and resellers): each person can actively participate and receive useful advice for his activity, find the best products and services for its farm or its company. Everyone – technician, grower, breeder - can listen to (or share experiences) on agroinnovation.
AgroNotizie is media partner of international events such as World Agri-Tech and publishes reportages concerning Eima International (together with Federunacoma’s staff), Agritechnica (in accordance with Dlg), CEMA events and other exhibitions or summits.
In Italy, Image Line is partner of Smart Agrifood Observatory (managed by Politecnico di Milano and Università degli Studi di Brescia) and organizes every year the AgroInnovation Award with Accademia dei Georgofili, the world oldest scientific academy for agriculture (founded in 1753), in order to give prizes to students and PhDs who are committed to Digital farming and innovative solutions for crop protection and nutrition.
We decided to join AEF because we think that data is one of the most important resource for sustainable farming. We’d like farmers to spend less and less time to register data, so we share the idea that developing standards for data sharing could help grower, consultants, resellers, constructors to work better together. That’s why we decided to join the Data Management expert team and to collaborate with the Communication and Marketing team.
